Happy Birthday to William Shakespeare!!!

Today, 23rd of April is William Shakespeare's birthday. We had planned to go to Shakespeare's birthplace--Stratford-Upon-Avon for celebrating his birthday. I went there with Sabina, Whitney, Peggy and Isabel. We had a great time there.

At first, we saw a lot of flags from different countries, such as, Japan and Austrila. There were a few plays of Shakespeare's were perfroming on the street, for example: Romeo and Juliet. The actors and actress all dressed up like in 16 century.

Then, there came another group of people who dressed up the gowns and they walked and stopped in front of the flag of their country. The Royal Shakespeare Theatre even offered 2 huge birthday cakes for everyone. We all went and have at least 1 piece of the cake, as you could see from the picture...One of the cake had the greeting words "Happy Birthday" on and the other one had 4 Shakespeare's pictures on.

We passed one Teddy Bear shop and there was a huge Teddy Bear dressed like Shakespeare stood in front of the shop. When it rained, the shop keeper even put the raincoat on him. It is just too cute.
