Charters Notre Dame

Charters is another small but very pretty town close to Paris. The most attractive and famous site in Charters is Cathedrale Notre-Dame which is the world heritage. Catherdale Notre-Dame was built in 11 century but was damaged by fire in 1194. However, the Catherdale Notre-Dame we could visit now was rebuilt in early 13 century and it still keeps up to 176 pieces of stained-glass windows safely within it. Walking inside the Cathedrale Notre-Dame, I was so delighted and surprised to see those colourful, beautiful and meaningful stained-glass windows. The whole cathedral looks just like a painting with lots of colours and sends out the kind and nice messages. I must say the power of religion is enormous.
夏特是在巴黎近郊的另一個小鎮.夏特最吸引人且最有名的是名列世界文化遺產的夏特大教堂.夏特大教堂原本建造於11世紀卻在1194年因大火燒毀.現在我們所看到的夏特大教堂是在13世紀初期重建的.而且它還完善保存了176片彩繪玻璃.走在這古蹟裡,眼裡看到的是彩色漂亮並富有意義的彩繪玻璃的我是高興且訝異的.整座教堂本身就像一幅彩色的畫並且傳達善良和美好的旨意.我必須承認宗教的力量是巨大的.

Apart from the Catherdale Notre-Dame, I also took a look at this town by walking around. I felt so peaceful and comfortable to spend this afternoon in this town for it is just a great place to relax and get feeling and things refresh. Everything in this small town is so elegant and ancient which I felt that I was entering a doll house in fairy tales. I like this small town so much and wish to come back some time later.
除了夏特大教堂,我也藉機繞了這小鎮一圈.在這小鎮的午後,我有一種舒適祥和的感覺,因為它是一個休息和讓腦及心情沉澱的好地方.這小鎮的一切都是那麼的富有中古世紀的味道,就好像穿越時光隧道進入童話故事一般.我真的喜歡這個小鎮,也希望還有機會再舊地重遊.
