Sacre-coeur

Sacre-coeur.

Peggy and I tried to visit as many places as we could in a day, therefore, we had agreed to visit Sacre-coeur, Musee du Louvre and Arc de Triomphe on our 2nd in Paris. In addition, we also want to take a look at some places we went yesterday but did not have a chance to get in, such as: Pantheon and University of Sorbonne. However, I would focus on the three new places in this piece.
Sacre-coeur is located in Montmartre which were gathered a lot of artists, poets and writers in the old time. There are a lot of cafes, bars, restaurants and various shops around. The are 2 must see places in Montmartre are Sacre-coeur and Moulin Rouge. The former is on top of the Montmartre hill and is famous of its different design from the other cathedrals in Paris. I, personally, like the stairs to climb up to the Sacre-coeur the most—when you stand just right in front of Sacre-coeur, you would be able to see the whole city-view of Paris clearly (Don't worry!! There are cablecars to take you up as well if you do not like to climb stairs). It is so nice to sit down at one of the stairs and let the breeze blow on your face; it should be much better to taste ice cream in summer :) The Moulin Rouge first opened its doors in 6th of October, 1889 and still exists today. It became a well known among upper class, Parisian artists and writers. The Moulin Rouge was a combined dance hall and cabaret and it had a large dance floor with mirrored walls and brassy music accompanied the risque dances of the can-can dancers.
I am quite curious of it, but I heard the the price for seeing the performance is quite expensive...well... forget it lo. I will wait till I become the millionaire then.
