Wawel Hill and Royal Castle.

Wawel Hill, Krakow

The first day when I arrived in Krakow, I went to Wawel Hill and the Royal Castle. However, the wather is so cloudy and I am so tired that I don't really see too much about it. Therefore, I spend another half day to revisit the Wawel Hill and Royal Castle the next few days.

Wawel Hill is composed if the Royal Castle, Wawel cathedral and fortifications. It is quite an enjoyment to walk along the Hill to have a better view of Krakow with Vistula river. The Royal Castle was built since the 11 century. It is a splendid Gothic castle with lots of painting pictures on the wall. I do take the chance to visit the Wawel Royal Castle Museum and look around how those royal families had been lived.

I feel that I know nothing about the Polish history, therefore, I could not understand too much about the kings' names and what did they do and so forth. I wish that I could come with a Polish friend here next time.
