Observation wheel 摩天輪

Observation Wheel in Jardin des Tuileries.

It seems that every big city in the world has an observation wheel. London, Tokyo, Osaka, Chicago, Birmingham, Moscow, Las Vegas, Singapore and even Taipei have one observation wheel and Paris is not out of the list for sure. London eye in London is the biggest and highest one in the whole world now and I am lucky enough to take it this April. Paris' observation wheel is located in Jardin des Juileries and it has open passenger cars. I fell into my childhood and fairytales while taking it in Paris--I like taking the observation wheel since I was very little. I remembered that I ever dreamed of taking the observation wheel with my prince charming and live happily ever after :D
It feels like that I am an angel flying high in the sky and looking at how the whole world moving around while taking the observation wheel. I also feel that I could catch the stars while flying so high in the sky and the most important is I feel that the wind blow away all my worries and downs.
I think that I will take as many times observation wheel as possible in my life.


好像在世界上的每個大城市都要有一座摩天輪. 倫敦,東京(台場),大阪,芝加哥,伯明罕,莫斯科,拉斯維加斯,新加坡,甚至連台北都有一座摩天輪;而巴黎也當然在這名單上囉! 倫敦的倫敦眼是當今世界上最大最高的摩天輪,而我,何其有幸在今年四月乘坐過啦!巴黎的摩天輪座落在杜麗樂花園,它是開放式車廂喔!坐在巴黎的摩天輪,我的思緒好像掉進童年和童話故事了…我記得我從小就最喜歡坐摩天輪了,還曾經夢想著跟白馬王子一起搭摩天輪並過著幸福快樂的日子…
每次坐摩天輪就覺得自己像小天使一樣,飛到高高的天上,看地球如何轉動和地面上的人來人往,車子川流不息.我也覺得當我飛到那麼高的天空上,我好像可以摘到滿天的星星,不過,最重要的是所有的不愉快和煩惱都被高空上的風給吹走了.
我一定會在我的人生裡努力搭摩天輪的…

Great seafood in Paris 巴黎的海鮮大餐

Great Seafood...

French food is very famous worldwide and of course, we must give it a try. Peggy and I tried some different types of food in Paris, such as: Chinese, seafood, instant food and Spanish. The Chinese food in Paris is much better than in UK. They do not try to make dishes to appeal to foreigners but still the Chinese taste should be and of course, the price is more reasonable there than in UK as well. We also tried the instant food which is even better than McDonalds. I would just say that France is really the HEAVEN for eaters.
法國的美食是世界上出了名的,那麼來到法國當然要好好地品嘗一番囉!Peggy和我雖然是窮自助旅行者,也還是在巴黎吃了不少不同的食物,像中國菜,海鮮,速食和西班牙菜.法國的中國菜比英國的中國菜好吃不知有多少倍!!而且他們不會刻意做出迎合外國人口味的中國菜,重點是價錢也挺公道的.我們也吃過法國的速食和三明治,速食比麥當當還好吃說…我想,我只能說,法國真是饕客的天堂啊!!!

What I would like to mention particular here is the seafood we had in Paris. Peggy and I had twice seafood at restaurants (if Spanish food would be counted, then it was three times) with greatest ever food and very reasonable prices. We had our "feasts" at La Coupole and Leon. Both we only ordered seafood there. We had some oysters, mussels, snails and shrimp. They were all very fresh and tasty. We had only mussels at Leon, however, it came as a big saucepan.
在這兒,我特別想說的是我們在巴黎吃到的海鮮…真的只有讚字可以形容啦!!!我們在巴黎的餐廳吃過兩次美味至極而且一點也不貴的海鮮大餐(如果連西班牙海鮮飯都算的話,是三次啦!) 我們在圓頂咖啡館(也是餐廳)吃的是生蠔,貽貝,田螺和鮮蝦的拼盤…又新鮮有好吃,很讚吧!!在Leon吃的是一大鍋(真的很大一鍋)的貽貝.別看著照片流口水喔!!

Both Peggy and I enjoyed the food there and we felt eating at restaurants in Paris is a pleasure (It normally quite suck in UK).
Peggy和我真的吃得很滿足,而且覺得在巴黎的餐廳吃飯真是人生一大享受啊! (在英國的話,通常會想罵人....)

Peggy and I found a great museum of Impressionism painting in Paris other than Musee d'Orsay and Musee du Louvre which not many guidebooks would introduce it. It has quite a lot collections of Claude Monet and other great artists—Musee Marmottan Monet. It is a must-go museum for whoever likes the period of Impressionism paintings.
Peggy和我發現新大陸喔!ㄧ間一般旅遊書不會介紹到有關印象派藝術的美術館--Musee Marmottan Monet(在巴黎).通常到巴黎必看的羅浮宮和奧塞美術館已經有不少印象派藝術的作品,不過,這間位在非市中心的小美術館卻珍藏了更多大師莫內的名畫,有他ㄧ系列的睡蓮作品喔!強力推薦這家美術館給所有喜歡印象派藝術的各位.

What is Impressionism? Impressionist art is a style in which the artist captures the image of an object as someone would see it if they just caught a glimpse of it. They paint the pictures with a lot of color and most of their pictures are outdoor scenes. Their pictures are very bright and vibrant. The artists like to capture their images without detail but with bold colors. Some of the greatest impressionist artists were Edouard Manet, Camille Pissaro, Edgar Degas, Alfred Sisley, Claude Monet, Berthe Morisot and Pierre Auguste Renoir.

The experience both Peggy and I had while visiting the museum that we noticed that the paintings tell stories better if you look at them with some distance and you shall be able to understand what the artists tried to express literately.
我和Peggy的經驗是,看莫內大師的畫最好要保持點距離欣賞.這樣才能真正看出大師真正要傳達的感覺,也才能體會光和色彩交織的美感.
