When Hitler Stole Their Freedom

Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C.

Holocaust, what kind of picture would you have in mind when you read/see this term?
Last week, I went to Washington D.C. particularly for it, Holocaust Museum, a museum I had dreamed about for ages. I am very much interested in the issues about Jewish people, especially Holocaust long ago. I could not imagine what they had suffered through those difficult and curel times during the World War II. In addition, of course, I somehow could not understand why Hitler and someone else could do such terrible things to people just because of the "purify" and their own advantage/future and so forth.
I felt so bad for those people were killed in Holocaust because even such small freedom of getting the fresh air was not something they could simply get at that time. To those people who survived from death camp, gas chamber and death marching; they would never forget what they had experienced. However, no matter how hard they try, they would never be able to forgive what certain people had treated them humiliately and their partners, friends, families who could not be able to escape from those bad persons' hands.
I would never forget these stories I happened to know, read and see. I hope that I will have the chance to visit those death camps located in Poland some day to try to feel a little bit of the pain that those people had suffered. Moreover, I will try my best to express the idea "we are the same, there is no difference in being a simple human being no matter who you are." We all need to learn to LOVE the world and the people, instead of hating. Moreover, there maybe something we could do as teachers, parents, adults in the future---everyone has their own value in this whole world and we respect every human being.
" We are the shoes, we are the last witnesses. We are shoes from grandchildren, grandfathers. From Prague, Paris and Amsterdam and because we are only made of fabric. And leather and not of blood and flesh. Each of us avoided the hellfire".
Piles of shoes of those people who killed in Holocaust...they are still waiting but......... they could not find their master any more.
Here comes the Santa

Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Centre.

Yes!! It is Christmas Time!! You could feel it very much when you are walking on the streets in NYC. As you could see from the picture, this is the most famous Christmas Tree which put up in front of Rockefeller Centre in New York City during the winter holiday season. Through looking at it, it made my mood even better right away. You could feel the joy and happiness of the holiday as well as from people around you no matter you know them or not.
Christmas is my favourite holiday in the whole year and I enjoy so much about sending out wishes and greeting to people in the whole world. Christmas is a holiday for everyone to me even I am not a Christian. I am glad that I am here, in New York City, to celebrate my Christmas this year. Jingle bell, jingle bell....did you hear that? Santa is coming...
New York City

Washington Square Arch

This is the remarkable landmark for NYU to me. I love this Washington Square Park and Arch so much when I studied in NYC since 2001. That is a great place for taking some rest, enjoying the sunshine and refreshing your brain after so much reading. Bring a novel, get a cup of coffee from Starbucks and find a good seat to enjoy the afternoon around the singing of birds, giggling sounds from children, and the music from some street artists. What a wonderful day!!
That is New York!! You do not have to worry about how people would look at you because no one would care a bit indeed.
