The Giant and the dwarf...

Russel and Jennifer... Posted by Picasa

In this photo...you could see one dwarf--Me and the Giant--my flatmate, Russel.

I finally got a photo with Russel after so long!! Russel lives in London now but originally from South Africa. I knew someone from South Africa long ago and he was so tall as well. I wonder whether people from South Africa are so....tall... stood next to him made me look like a dwarf :(

Russel is quite typical British...he always walks around the flat with his bare feet. He always orders take away food and he likes beer a lot. Russel doesn't really care about anything from my point of view. He might not be too easy to get along with at the very beginning but I am sure he is a friend. Russel lived next to my room last year and I could always overhear his loud voice on the phone. Because he is so HUGE, I could also hear his heavy footsteps when he passed my room. We got along with each other quite fine. He, once, tried to scare me with an ugly face but did not scare me but my friend (because Russel thought that was me who was walking out the room). I knew that somehow...Russel is funny and considerated guy in his own style.

Russel moved back to London last June without saying goodbye to any of us--which made me quite upset and a bit angry. I thought that no matter how, it would be much better to say goodbye. We didn't even know his e-mail address. That meant there was no way for us to get contact with him afterwards. However, thank God!! Russel came back for his Big Day and we finally got connected again!! What made me happier could be that he told me he does remember me and how much I still like PINK !!

Congratulations!!

Ichi and his beautiful wife. Posted by Picasa

As you could see from the photo I attached--that is a happy and lovely couple :)

The guy is my Japanese friend, Ichi. We knew each other since 1999 when I studied in Bristol. Even time flies and many things change, I am glad that we are still friends and stay in touch from time to time. Ichi likes Taiwan very much and he is even thinking of doing his PhD or working in Taiwan. His super idol is the former president of Taiwan, Mr. Lee.

The pretty girl next to him, of course, is his wife from Philippines. They knew each other while they were doing their master course in Philippines. Yes, Ichi went to Philippines for his second master degree and then began to work at a Japanese company there. They just got married on 2 of July. The terrible Ichi told me about his wedding quite late that I couldn't even plan to show up at his wedding ceremony. Too bad!!

I am really happy for Ichi that he found his Miss Right and will begin his new life back to Hiroshima in Japan or anywhere else. Believe me that he is really thinking of getting a good pay work in Taiwan too. Therefore, friends, if you know any well-paid job, let me know!!

I wish that Ichi and I could be friends forever...I still remembered the presents he sent to me on my birthday back to 1999...a big box of something I hate(green and red peppers, carrots) and something I like (cholocate)... What a friend!!

Anyway....wish him all my best with all my heart...

Well Done!!

Graduation!! Posted by Picasa

On the week of 10th of July to 14th of July was the graduation week at Warwick. I missed the graduation on the 10th for my dearest drama girls and my dearest flatmate, RoseAnne. It would be much more fun to be with those crazy drama girls again!! And I do miss RoseAnne a lot. It was a great pity for not being able to participate in their great day but I am looking forward to seeing them soon.

Even so, I do make it for the graduation on the 14th. The graduation on the 14th of July was for MBA students and international relations/politics. My former flatemates--Yoshi, Russel and Intissar were here for their BIG DAY!! I knew how hard they had been through last year and they deserved this BIG DAY and MASTER DEGREES!! I am really happy to see them all again. It has been almost a year since we said goodbye. What surprised me the most was Russel...I think that none of us would expect to see him. I couldn't help shouting out loud while I heard his name and saw him walk on the stage from the big screen at Art Centre. It was just too great to see him again!! What a reunion!!

Oh...my dear flatmates, I would never forget the great time I used to have with you all and please do stay in touch anyhow. I miss you a lot already!!

Wish you all my bests to your future!!
